In 2019, a fully electric self-propelled fruit harvesting wagon was developed. The adoption of an electric powertrain has brought about huge energy reductions as, during the parking phases, there is almost zero electricity consumption, unlike the traditional vehicle which has a combustion engine that must remain on and in idle conditions. The use of an electric motor also guaranteed almost zero noise emissions when moving and stationary.
