In 2021, a collaboration began in the field of electrification with the Antonio Carraro Spa company, leader in the sector of compact and specialized vineyard and orchard tractors.
This collaborative activity led to the creation of several new vehicles presented as concepts in 2021 and 2022 at the EIMA international fairs in Bologna and FIERAGRICOLA in Verona.
The vehicle represents the first MILD HYBRID concept designed and built to evaluate and introduce hybrid-electric powertrain technology in the compact tractor sector. The objective is to obtain an improvement in the efficiency of the vehicle, a reduction in fuel consumption, while maintaining high performance.
In fact, the vehicle is based on mild-hybrid technology which involves the installation of an electric motor downstream of the traditional diesel engine. This solution allows the adoption of a smaller thermal engine (downsizing) and, therefore, with lower specific consumption compared to the model adopted in the traditional vehicle as the electric motor is able to provide the necessary power during transients to make up for the lower power of the ICE.
